Libraries.

Aha, first post in 5 days. It's a bit annoying that I'm still computer-less, but with a bit of luck it won't be for much longer! I managed to persuade my mum to buy a new computer for me, and so on friday this week I'll be ordering the parts from her house. It'll take them a few days to arrive and then I'll have my friend come over to my house to build it. Once that's done it's just a simple matter of installing the software from my old computer and I'll be back in business! I should be able to get an internet connection up that works soon too, since my dad is contacting the providers and asking for another installation disk since he misplaced the last one. Lots of happy good news.

I also managed to ask another friend to download and burn some anime for me, so I'll be getting the majority of my anime updates and then I'll have a working computer soon too, so it'll only be for 2 or 3 weeks at most. Though my old computer is ravaged by harshness, I can still watch a few types of media as long as they don't require any relatively new codecs. AVI is one of the few things that still works fortunately, so I'll still be able to watch them. That indeed is happy news. If the talk with the internet provider goes well I'll also be able to have a 2MB connection instead of my slightly bad 512. Unfortunately I only have a few minutes of this library computer session left, so I can't type much more. Since I've been round my mum's house and a friend's house several times I've at least managed to keep my presence on the forums and such active. Even with no internet at home I still manage to be around every 2 or 3 days. That's not too bad really. At any rate, till next time.

God Damn It All To Hell.

Well god damn it all to hell. My computer at home died, so there won't be as many posts here in the near future till I manage to get a new computer. It shouldn't take more than a month at the outside, so I should have one before Christmas. The actual problem is that something got deleted on my computer and I don't know how. At any rate windows no longer runs properly. I managed to get a vague similarity running by ignoring 20 minutes of error messages, but I had to reinstall quite a few things and it doesn't recognise any modem, so no internet connection for me. I'm currently typing this from a friend's computer. The forums are probably suffering due to my computer death, but I've still managed to be there twice in the past 3 days of badness, so that's not too bad overall.

For anime I haven't been able to watch much, but my friend did lend me his PSP memory card so I managed to watch Bleach episode 59. It's just cool. Just. Cool. Go watch it, even if you don't watch the anime Bleach. Just go. Go. For my other series I know I'll have one hell of a lot of catching up to do... Ah well. I guess I won't be able to read new manga for a while now too... Till next time.

Writing.

I was pleasantly surprised today. When I went looking for updates not only did I see Shuffle! episode 17, but also Yakitate episode 45, both very convenient. In order to have them watchable I let them download through the day throughout college and I'm extremely glad I did, since they were a good way to relax after the badness that was today. Not only did I have to write my second sociology essay for tomorrow, but there was also a timed english language 'test' today, where I had to answer an exam question about the development of chil language and the importance of the caregiver role in acquiring spoken language. That was just fantastic. Meh. I managed it barely, but I probably didn't write enough since I managed the equivalent of nearly 2 sides for a 40 minute exam question, marked out of 50. That's simply just 'not good'. On the plus side I managed to play a lot of Burnout Legends against two of my friends, so that cheered me up slightly.

Since it was a tuesday today I went to Games Workshop as per usual and zomg, I actually played a game of Warhammer 40k there. I lost quite heavily, but it was still a really fun game since I went second and lost a lot on turn 1, but managed several small comebacks that at least kept me in the game till the end, so it was quite funny. After getting home I basically just did more update work on the forums, watched the joyous anime, which further improved my mood, and started typing this. Tomorrow after college I'll be going down to Brighton to meet my mum and her new fiance, so that'll be interesting. I'll probably end up spending the rest of this weeks food money on anime and manga stuff in the 'Dave's Comics' store, possibly the greatest store I know of. Lets hope they have the new issues of NewType USA magazine. Till next time.

Up to date.

Out of the 44 subbed episodes of Yakitate Japan, I've watched 43 and will watch the 44th after this post. That means I'll have watched 44 episodes of a series in 4 days. 11 episodes a day on average isn't bad at all considering my slightly bad download speed, so I'm quite happy with it. Overall the series started out semi-serious(ish) and is now just getting funnier. It's very enjoyable, and it's now another of my favourites. Other than that I haven't really had any other updates to watch, so I'm hoping a few more will show up soon.

Today I played one of my friends in Burnout Legends on the PSP. Straight wins for me, and a slightly unhappiness for him. That was quite entertaining, and several of us recounted all his worst moments in the traditional way a winner should console the loser. Very sporting... er... right. Other than that college wasn't eventful at all, I just chatted to friends and that was it. Still, the girl who sits next to me in english language, one of my friends, looked simply stunning today dressed in a red top. Red suits her incredibly well, and with her lovely figure it was, needless to say, difficult to concentrate on the classwork whenever she stretched. I would normally say 'damn my perverted mind' but I honestly can't think of it as a bad thing after today. She looked truly amazing. Hopefully english tomorrow will be just as good, heh. Till next time.

Shopping.

Today I actually had to get up at 9am since my mum was coming round. Throughout the day we basically walked around eastbourne and chatted, and we actually did some food shopping for me, so I'll be able to survive the remaining week my dad and step mum are away on honeymoon. Since they'll be back on the 26th of this month there isn't that long to go really. At any rate she ended up buying my another PSP game, Lumines. It's currently the only other game I wanted that's released over here, so that was incredibly convenient, plus when I got home I managed to get a copy of Infected from Ebay, so I should hopefully get that within the week due to fast postage. With a great puzzle game here now and a rather cool and funky zombie blasting game arriving soon, my PSP is sure to need one hell of a lot more charging. At the end of the day before my mum went she actually cooked dinner for both of us too, which I didn't even expect. That was just really nice of her, and is a point why I still like my mum. She can be very thoughtful quite often.

I also managed to watch up to the 36th episode of Yakitate, and I have the 37th to watch after I type this. Even after a major plot arc it just steps up again, it's really getting good and is constantly surprising me with how well it's done. It's frankly an awesome series, and I'm glad I decided to start watching it. Yet again Howl's Moving Castle lurks in the background, but it'll be watched soon enough, probably tomorrow unless I get a large amount of surprise homework for the next day. That's highly unlikely since I only have a single subject which has a single teacher, the other 3 all have 2, so homework can be quite spaced in general unless I procrastinate and don't get it done till the last minute. My poor weekends. Anyway, that's about it for the news today, so go buy Lumines and see how addictive it is. Fun to play, bloody difficult to master. Till next time.

The lone essay.

Though I was planning to write both my sociology essays today I only managed the smaller one. After actually looking at the questions again the practice exam question had been structured rather harshly, and the task sheet stated that I had to make references to certain books. Without a library in my house I can't quite do that, so I have to do the essay at college. Luckily it's not actually due in till wednesday, so I have time to do it on tuesday. Unfortunately a psychology homework loomed up from the evil depths, so I need to do that once I've finished writing this, as it's for monday. Curses, nearly all my plans fall apart. At least tomorrow I'll be going round the shops with my mum as she'll be popping over, and that'll be handy because I'm running low on food and, being broke, can't buy any.

I also managed to watch quite a few Yakitate episodes today, since through yesterday and today I've managed to watch the first 27. That's not too bad really, and the series is still staying funny and at times it even has some pretty good suspense drama moments which made me slowly angrier at my internet connection for not downloading them quick enough, heh. Other than that I still have Howl's Moving Castle to watch, but I'll actually leave that for a period when I have lots of free time and nothing to do. Watching it merely to get it out of the way probably wouldn't do it justice, so I'm not even going to try. For other entertainment I've just been listening to more of 2's stuff, namely his old show 2 Sense, but I haven't really played any of my PSP games at all, which seems a bit odd in retrospect. I play them mostly on the train to and from college, and during college itself, so I suppose that's why. At any rate psychology beckons (damn psychology...) so till next time.

Goblets and editing.

Today went off without a hitch generally. Though college would've finished at 11.25am today due to the cancelled lesson, I was actually able to go at around 10.30am since once I handed in my lovely completed english language coursework I was free to go. However, since I had to wait around till 1.05pm anyway, I decided to stay in the class and I basically spent my time there chatting with the few remaining friends of mine who hadn't cleared off or had retreated to the library to have nervous breakdowns about potentially missing the deadline. It's was a pretty cool lesson, since my teacher is a fan of Amateur Transplants, a comdedy musical duo, and I had a few songs by them on my PSP. As such she listened to those and spent most of the lesson laughing, which was certainly 'different' and quite funny to watch. After that, and after I'd hung around till lunchtime, the two mates I was going to the cinema with showed up since they were both demonstrating marvellous personal character by skipping their last lessons. As such we all went to Crawley to see the new harry Potter movie.

Now, my views about the movie are quite mixed. One on hand, Hermione and Fleur Delacour, as well as Cho Chang, looked very nice. The characters were played well (though Harry depicting pain is still rather bad) and overall the film made sense as a story. However compared to the book, it was so heavily edited it was at the point of unfairness. Seriously, none of the Quidditch World Cup match was shown after the teams appeared. None of it. No little leprechauns, no veela, no dazzling moves by Victor Krum. Nada. Not only that, but the narrative was changed heavily in places to let the film flow. It was pretty much a retelling of the same story, squashed and altered by a cruel director. Admittedly this probably made it fit within a reasonable time to watch, but it was still rather annoying. If you're a fan of the books then you'll go see it and understand exactly what I mean. If you've not read the books, then it's still quite a good film.

Slight ranting aside, I managed to watch the first 10 episodes of Yakitate Japan when I got back home, and I still have another 2 episodes to watch to exhaust my downloaded supply. For a series that's basically about making bread, it's surprisingly not-lame and is quite entertaining. At first I didn't believe the recommendations, since, well, it's about a boy making bread in his quest to make a bread unique for Japan, such as French bread for France. It's actually pulled off quite well, and the character's reactions whenever someone eats the bread he makes are greatly comical. As such, I'd recommend it to anyone who's prepared to download over 40 episodes of a series that's still going. It'll probably take me several days to get them all, and possibly another day or so to watch them.

Tomorrow will be bleak for me, since I have two sociology essays to write. That will simply be bad, since the whole process for sociology necessitates the use of a bibiography in the recognised 'Harvard' style, which takes ages to research if you're working from handouts from class... At any rate with hope I'll get them done so I can just relax. After I finish them I have a treat for myself, since I need to watch Howl's Moving Castle which I have, so that'll be good. I just need to hope the sociology doesn't bore and irritate me to death... Till next time.

Sleepage.

Today was filled with pure sleepage. I slept in till 2pm. Absolutely fantastic. Once I did get up I basically did a few chores and read the letters adressed to me. Quite handily I now have 3 of 6 replies to my University applications, and the three that have replied so far, Sussex, Plymouth and Sheffield, have all offered conditional acceptance. That means that as long as I get the grades, I can actually have a wide choice. If the next, and last, three accept me too, then BOOYAH. 6 out of 6 accepting me would just be a) sweet and b) very funny. Those poor poor universities... At any rate, after that I lounged around and watched TV, and when it reached evening and therefore got very cold, I spent some time in a very conveniently hot bath reading. All in all, a pleasant day. Thanks to my college for the day off, heh.

Sporadically I read the Soul Society RP forums too, so I've been updating them whilst listening to the 2 Sense show. This started in 2003 and spanned 2 years, and is just plain funny. The rants 2 makes are great too, as are his reader's letters segment. Seriously, go there, it's http://www.ranting-gryphon.com/ and it's good. Go now and listen! I've heard every single one of his rants and letters, and I've just started listening to his old show. At 1 hour each show, with 87 shows, it may take me some time to listen to them all, but I've got myself the first 10 to while away the hours. Tomorrow will be just as good too, since I finish at 11.25am and I only need wait till 1.05am for my mates to finish then I'll be off to the cinema. That'll be entertaining, seeing some magic flying around. In my last post I mentioned Fleur Delacour, but Hermione is looking pretty good too, since Emma Watson (I think that's her name) looks nice in the Yule Ball dress. Sweet, so till next time.

Short day.

Today was quite enjoyable really. Finishing at 11.05am was great fun, and I was even let out of Law 10 minutes early so managed to get the 11.07am train back home, meaning I actually got back home before midday, nifty. I've been playing Dynasty Warriors slightly, and with one general have completed 2 of the 'historical' battles. They're very enjoyable, and running into the middle of a group of 10 people and using an area special to kill them all is fantastic. One thing I need to watch though is use of supplies, they tend to go down quite quickly if I'm not sharpish about clearing a location. At any rate it's fun, so currently the games I'm playing are Dynasty Warriors and Burnout Legends. Bleach 2 is still my favourite game however, since I like the anime and manga a ridiculous amount. I'm still eagerly anticipating Bleach 3, heh. I also found out that Infected is on sale in America, which is very good news. The moment I get more money in my accound from EMA it'll be mine, I swear. I fully intend to get this game as soon as humanly possible. Admittedly the story may get quite repetetive (blow up zombies, again and again again) but it'll be immensely fun (blowing up zombies, again and again and again). so it's all good.

Not only that, but in multiplayer mode there's zombies and civilians wandering around the arena and there's a special Mad Cow mode which is like a 'hold onto the flag' type battle, where you get a cow virus and literally walk around as a cow with guns. When you get shot and killed by someone they can run up and get the cow virus. That's just frankly cool, and makes me want the game NOW, since my friends are going to be getting it too. Excellent. In unrelated news, Gun X Sword eps 10 and 11 were released, so I quickly downloaded and watched them. Zomg, more drama! yet again, excellent. Episode 10 was quite funny, since a 'pirate' captain, or more accurately a Captain of a submarine who steal things, similarly to a pirate, looked so blatantly French. That made me laugh quite a bit since it was so unusual. At any rate after watching those I started to get Howl's Moving Castle, so with any luck I'll be able to watch it tomorrow evening or something. ThoughI don't have much to do tomorrow, on Friday (when I finish at 11.25am) I'll be waiting around till early afternoon for my mates to finish, then I'll be going to Crawley to watch the new Harry Potter movie. I don't care if some people consider Harry Potter sad, I'm a fan and the movie not only has the Quidditch World Cup and the Triwizard Tournament to see, but also Fleur Delacour, the Beauxbatons School Champion. Though I have no clue who plays her, she looks very nice, which is a large added bonus. Hurrah! So, till next time.

Lone update.

There isn't much anime for me to watch at the moment. hankfully there was the 6th episode of Blood+ out, so I managed to watch that, but apart from that there hasn't been any change to the series I watch. I'll probably pick up another series or something in a day or two if the updates don't speed up, just to keep myself occupied anime-wise. I'm more than occupied for my PSP though, since Burnout Legends is fantastic, Marvel Nemesis is almost but not quite completed, and I just bought the Dynasty Warriors game today. I'm not usually one for timed strategy games, but it's been recommended to me so much and it does look rather impressive, so I caved in and bought it. Admittedly I felt like buying another game anyway, and the current choice I was thinking about was either Dynasty Warriors or the alledgedly addictive puzzler that's 'as good as, if not better than' Tetris, called Lumines. If I end up buying another game before Infected is released, it'll probably end up being Lumines.

Again college was relatively slow and not much happened, though I did play cards and my PSP a lot. Tomorrow I only have a single lesson, so I'll finish at 11.05am. I'll most likely make my way home then work on my english language coursework. With only 900 words left to optionally fill since I've clearly passed the 2000 word minimum and have 3100 out of a max of 4000, and with a clear structure for what to write next, I reckon that I may even be able to finish it. Most likely however I'll write up 4 or 5 of the 6 small sections to go to leave me with something to do on thursday, since I have the full day off. Plus it'll mean that tomorrow I won't actually have to do all that much, which'll be entertaining. If I get on a roll I may not even have to write up all the remaining little sections I set myself, since I only have 900 words left afterall. Truth be told I'm actually looking forward to it in a way, since it'll get it even closer to completion and therefore closer to being out of the way. That's obviously a very good thing. Ironically however this weekend I'll be working hard again as I have two sociology tasks, both essays, to write for two different teachers. Well, fun fun that will be.... Till next time.

Slow day.

Not much happened today really. College was okay, I just didn't really do much. This morning on the train however it was quite entertaining since my friend was playing on his PSP so intently that he left his bag on the train itself. By the time he'd realised and gone to talk to the staff it was well on it's way to London. He managed to get it back by the end of the day, but it was still greatly entertaining. I kept making jokes about how he should home it wasn't taken away for controlled explosion. At any rate I spent most of my free time at college playing Burnout Legends. It's a fantastic game, constantly running other cars of the road is just pure entertainment, it's a simple formula that works completely.

I haven't actually watched any nime today so far, since I haven't had anything new to see. Currently the 6th episode of Solty Rei is downloading, so that should be watchable soon. Other than that it's been mostly music and TV, and there hasn't been much on TV either. At the moment I have the Spiderman movie running in the background on my TV, so that at least provides interesting dialogue as I type, heh. Till next time then.

More work.

The workload today was much better than yesterday. I went from just over 2200 words overall in my english language coursework to 3100. That leaves just 900 to write on wednesday and thursday, and I still have 5 topics to write on and a conclusion to finish, as well as allowing for the contents page. All in all therefore, I'm doing rather well. writing about 2450 words in a weekend for coursework alone however was not a fun experience. I do not look forward to any future home writing, and I still need to do a sociology essay for the week after next. Bah, bah I say. At least when I get free time I'll be able to play Burnout Legends on my PSP. I've played it a bit already in crash mode, that was intensely fun. Plus there's something like 89 or so cars to unlock overall and you start with about 3. Wow.

I managed to finish watching all of the Najica series, it had a reasonably good ending though I couldn't help but feel more could have been done with it. It was entertaining whilst it lasted, and now I'm back to relying on updates. With so many series to wait for it at least means I always have something to do. I've been listening to quite a bit of music and watching quite a bit of TV today while I worked, so overall I've ended the day with a low stress level. I took lots of breaks too, and had a good dinner, so today could've gone a lot worse. The anime suitably helped me to perk up my mood. That's about it really, so till next time.

Working.

Today sucked quite heavily as a whole. I ended up spending several hours simply writing 1200 words of my english coursework, then another 1600 to start and finish my law essay. Luckily that got the essay out of the way at least, and I only have to write just under 1800 words in total now to finish up my coursework. Counting the conclusion, introduction, title page, bibliography and contents pages I need to write, it shouldn't be that much really as I have tomorrow, wednesday and thursday free, thank heavens. Halfway through the day I actually went to Eastbourne for a breather, and bought a PSP game, Burnout egends, and the Family Guy DVD - Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story. I'm actually watching the Family Guy DVD now, it's currently paused whilst I type. As a result of all this my hands hurt like hell, but at least I can rely on comedy and crashing to improve my mood.

I also managed to catch the 16th episode of Shuffle! and I have 9 episodes of Najica to watch, which I should manage tomorrow if I'm alive after my coursework session. With any luck I'll just be able to sit down and constantly write absolute waffle and still get marks for it. Hey, it's worked so far. I'll leave you all now, with pain in my hands and Family Guy running in the background. Till next time, if I live...

Drama.

Today started rather badly. I ended getting up at 7.10am, which meant i had 5 minutes to get dressed, feed the cats, feed the fish, make sure I actually had the right stuff for college, and set off. Amazingly I managed it, but it wasn't exactly a relaxing start to the day. During college break time I was also pulled aside by my girlfriend, and we had a productive little talk. She felt she wasn't ready for a relationship as she had too much going on in her life (depression and such) and therefore didn't want to hurt me even more. So, that ended after 5 days. Only 5 days. Hmm. That obviously didn't improve my morning. I didn't get depressed infront of her, I kept smiling and saying it was ok and I'd still be a good friend. That actually reassured her, but when she was gone I immediately felt like crap. Damn. The day didn't really brighten up much till I started seeking out friends and chatting to them, and the usual jokes and such cheered me up slightly. Then I met up with my best friend, and she was slightly angry with my oh-so-recent ex, offering to exact punishment. Though obviously not wanted since it was a bad course of action, it did make me laugh a lot, so that was fun, and I had a nice time just hanging out with her.

The afternoon continued to improve my mood as I played cards and such, and once I got home I basically just read a load of manga, as well as watching the 159th episode of Naruto, 5th episode of Solty Rei, and the 3rd episode of Najica. All were pretty entertaining, since in Naruto there was Hinata, in Solty Rei there was a large pool with an abundance of bikini, and in Najica there was a lot of cool explosions and interesting fighting. So it was all pretty good comfort-anime. I rang up my parents and chatted with them, and their honeymoon is going good so that cheered me up even more. By late evening I was pretty much back to normal, and my mood wasn't overly ruined even though I had to do some english language coursework. During it I just listened to a lot of dance music on the MTVDance channel. Quite convenient background music. I managed to get from 647 words to 1082 words, and overall there needs to be about 4000 words. So... another 1000 to write tomorrow, and another 1000 on sunday. That leaves only 1000 words to write on both wednesday and thursday, both of which are pretty much free time days since I have thursday off and on wednesday I only have a single lesson to go to. The only slight complecation is that I still need to do the law essay, and I'm not sure if I should do it this weekend or on monday or tuesday. I'll probably do it when I randomly feel like it, meh. Till next time then.

Eureka.

Today at college was pretty boring overall, and I was mildly down since I didn't get to see my girlfriend. It couldn't be helped since she was quite busy so I don't blame her at all, but it's always a slight letdown if you're expecting something which can't happen. Nevermind thopugh, tomorrow should be much much better. On the plus side my sociology teacher asked me to draw on an A4 sheet of paper instead of a scribble-board today, since she's going tolaminate it and use it as a sign for open evening, where potential students come to look at the college to see if they want to join. That made me quite happier, since my rating went up from 'pic of the week' for the classes she teaches to 'display picture' for many students and parents. Quite an ego boost right there. English language however dampened my mood since i had the fear on coursework to do, and the first draft is due in for next friday. As of now, I've written less than a page. Crap. I also have a law essay for wednesday so my weekend is now non-existant. Plus even though thursday next week is a free day, it'll be used on yet again coursework. Le sigh...

When I got home I did have anime to placate me and raise my spirits. I watched the recently released ep 18 of Eureka Seven, and the first 2 episodes of Najica. Najica is indeed remarkably full of panty shots, but they seem almost vaguely 'unintentional', allowing you to concentrate on the plot too, which is a very good thing. Also the 206th chapter of Ah! My Goddess was released, so I got to read more Goddess and Lorelian goodness. By tomorrow I should have more Najica to watch as I have panic attacks over the law essay and english language coursework. I managed to phone my Dad and Step-Mum this evening too, and they're doing great on their honeymoon, enjoying the good weather. There's only just over 2 weeks to go, so it's not wrong really. Till next time then.

Music.

It was yet another reasonably good day. Admittedly I didn't manage to see my girlfriend because she was feeling a bit ill, but I'd want her to get better and feel good a.s.a.p. anyway, so that was all okay. When I got home, early since college on wednesday is only a half day, I basically just lounged around watching TV. After an hour or two of that I made dinner and listened to some anime music. I recently gleaned a copy of the Eureka Seven OST, and several of the songs are sufficiently high-tempo or interesting enough to put on my PSP. By now I have quite a bit of music on there to randomly listen to. Anime-wise I managed to finish up watching the first 17 episodes of Eureka Seven and luckily there was an update for Blood+ and Bleach which I managed to watch too. I didn't actually notice there was an update out for Mai Otome till I started writing this post and thought about updates specifically, so at least I'll have something to watch tomorrow.

I spotted a series called Najica Blitz Tactics too. It's only 12 episodes, which is quite convenient for a quick-watch series amidst all the ongoing ones. It sounds quite good, since it has a main female character who is a 'perfumer' as a day job, but is also part of a secret organisation. Not only that, but it's apparantly an very ecchi show, which should be funny. The series I'm now waiting for updates from or currently following are Girls Bravo Second Season, Shuffle!, Ghost in the Shell 2nd Gig, Blood+, Solty Rei, Eureka Seven, Bleach, Naruto, Gun X Sword and Mai Otome as far as I can remember. Not too many then, heh. Again that cuts the news short, so till next time.

Expenses.

I've now watched the first 14 out of 17 subbed episodes of Eureka Seven, and in an hour or so no doubt I'll get Blood+ ep 5, ready to watch tomorrow. Eureka Seven is still going good, and I'm enjoying it as I usually enjoy anime. There's now just recentyly been dreams similar to those from Evangelion, but thankfully not as completely random (yes I know, the Eva dreams had a deep significance). It ties it in closer, and the enemies do too. All in all it's getting very good. Other than that not much has been happening.

Unfortunately looking at expenses, I wasn't given that much for overall food costs and so forth. It's been cut in half due to travel expenses and the date I had last Sunday. Erm... whoops. In 3 days I ate up half the expenses I'd been given. I'm just hoping that my EMA payments are going into my account, since at least that way I'll have something to live off of. I am however, in completely unrelated news, very proud of figuring out how the washing machine works. Now my wardrome is considerably more varied in choices again. Phew, heh. It's pretty low news today, so till next time.

The hourglass moves.

Today was a good day really. Lessons went well, and at lunch I got to see my girlfriend. It was only for about half an hour since she'd had a prolonged meeting in the morning, but it cheers me up no end. I actually feel really happy and content when with her, it's fantastic. I got home with no trouble, and even got a lift from the station to my house from a friend, so that saved me walking. Then the rest of the evening consisted of watching more anime, the 4th ep of Solty Rei and the next 8 episodes of Eureka Seven. Once done writing here I'll be watching the 10th and 11th, before starting another 3 downloading. Considering only 17 have been subbed so far it's going very well and quickly.

The Soul Society forums have been incredibly active today, I've been typing cnstantly whilst not watching anime, and I barely had enough time to eat a pizza. I was typing inbetween every slice eaten. After I watch the rest of the downloaded Eureka Seven episodes I think I'll just go to sleep. It'll be a slightly early night therefore and I'll be able to get up in the morning again. Yet again I'm looking forwards to college, heh. Till next time.

An amazing day.

Today I woke up suitably early and saw episodes 2, 3 and 4 of Eureka Seven had started downloading not long before as the tracker had been fixed. That was just fantastic. So I decided to leave the computer on for the day to let them finish, and true enough when I got home they had, and ep 5 is starting now. I'll wait from watching them a bit, otherwise I'll have to wait to watch anything once they're seen. After I checked the comp I fed the cats and fish, then left for the station. When I got there at 7.55am, I waited for a few minutes and got the 7.58am. I arrived at the next station at 8.30am, waited for the next train, and took it to the second station needed at 8.51am. I arrived then at 9.05am, waited to get the 9.30am train and arrived at Crawley at 9.36am. From leaving my house at 7.30am, it took just over 2 hours. Well dang...

However I only had to wait till 10 for my friend to turn up, and we started chatting and such. We'd already decided to go bowling, so we went and did that. At first I sucked so heavily, but I eventually got a few good strike. In the end I lost by a few, so that was quite enjoyable. Since we still had plenty of time, (it was 10.50am and the film was at 2.00pm...) we hung around the arcades, then went and walked around Crawley Mall. It was great just chatting with her, and window shopping was surprisingly more enjoyable than I thought it would be. After that we had a coffee and a long, long conversation, then hurried to the cinema and saw The Legend of Zorro.

Such a classic, and better than the original - Zorro in his non-masked form, Alehandro, beats up some prison guards. His son, who thinks that he's never ever fought before, says, "Wow, where did you learn to do that?" Looking a bit stumped for a moment, Alehandro turns to his son and replies, "Prison can change a man my son." Just classic. Since we had so much spare time after that, and since she also wanted to see another film at 6.10pm, we went bowling again, and this time I was even worse. Luckily so was she, but again I lost by a bit more than a few, heh. We decided to while away more time in the arcade, and I finally beat her at a few games (most notably ice hockey, where the scores were 7-1 to me, 7-2 to me, and 7-4 to her).

The second film we watched was The Brothers Grimm. In real life the Borthers Grimm wrote a great deal of fairy tales, like Rumplestiltskin and the like. In the film however they were both depicted as conmen, tricking places into thinking they were haunted or such, and busting the witch, and getting money. Naturally it's set in a time period far in the past, and they do look a bit like classic Witch Hunters. However the film takes loads of their stories and corrupts them, wielding them together and changing them. It wasn't scary at all, but so very, very weird. It also provided great conversation after it ended, whilst we had a bit to eat. After that, since it was by then 8.50pm, we went to the station and began the long trek of getting home. The absolutely fantastic thing was however that I got a bit more serious with the conversation, and by the time we'd reached my stop I'd asked her out and she said yes. Considering how I feel for her, that made today one of the best I've ever had. A truly amazing day, of which I enjoyed it all, and now I'm with an amazing girl. I think I'm now incredibly lucky, and I'm actually looking forwards to college tomorrow so I can see her. If only ever weekend was as happy as this one! So, till next time!

Plethora.

Well today was quite eventful. For a first point this is the second time writing this, since I wrote a large post and it was completely lost by blogger as I uploaded it. God damn it. Anyway, my dad and step mum went on honeymoon today, so when they left at 7am I saw them off, then went back to bed till midday. It was very restful. Considering it's a saturday I also got up pretty early, since I usually sleep in till late afternoon to catch up on the sleep I missed during the week. Other than that I basically watched anime, which was a good, if slightly wasteful, way to spend my time. It also distracted me from the fact that though being home alone for 3 weeks has it's plus points, it also has it's bad side. For a start I need to feeds the cats and fish. meh. The anime I downloaded and watched today was 4 episodes of Blood+, 4 episodes of Mai Otome, 3 episodes of Solty Rei, and the first episode of Eureka Seven. The 4th Solty Rei episode is still being gained, and I didn't manage more Eureka Seven since the tracker went down unfortunately. All in all it was a pretty good plethora of anime.

Blood+ is a great dark and mysterious show, which raises quite a few questions early on. Not only that but the chiropterans, beasts that live by drinking human blood, look suitably gribbly to be dispatched by the heroine, who also has issues about her past. Quite cliche with the past thing, but when it works, it works. Similarly in Solty Rei, Roy is a very grizzled veteran Bounty Hunter. One day he is saved by a seemingly young yet amazingly strong girl, who is found out later to be completely bionic. Most people with bionics have only a single limb or so. Since she doesn't have a place to go, he lets her stay at his for the night, then tells her basically to clear off. However due to his kindness, she follows him around, and by episode 3 when she's required to be citizened, she's registered as Roy's adoptive daughter. needless to say he's a bit surprised, and it was a funny moment. In his past he'd lost his wife to illness and his daughter to the aurora effect, though he maintains his search for her. The girl he names 'Solty' has a bad past too, in that she can't remember any of it, hence her new name. Blimey this whole 'past' thing is used a lot eh?

Mai Otome is very different from Mai Hime, but since the characters are recognisable you still get at the very least hints of their character immediately, and feel like you know them already. It's quite a funny point for me that the Otome, who are basically maids for famous and influential people, are very good at fighting. Indeed one of the elite destroys something the size of a large building in less than a second. It falls apart into chunks. That's just impressive. From what I watched of Eureka Seven, it looks frankly cool. The mechas are more impressive than Gundam mechas in my opinion, because they have better designs, and they fly through the air on large hoverboards, using the 'waves' which look like weird green light. That's just cool, no argument. With any luck the tracker will be up again soon and I can get more episodes. So far 17 episodes of it have been subbed, and overall there'll be 50 in the series. So, quite a bit to get.

Tomorrow I'm going to have to get up very early, 7am at the latest. This is because I promised my friend I'd meet her at Crawley station at a set time, and it takes me a lot of time to get there since it requires 3 different trains. Not only that, but it's a sunday so the trains are quite spaced out, and there's no way in hell I'm going to disappoint her. I like her far too much for that, and I quite hope she feels the same way. The whole day is pretty much going to be bowling, then catching a meal and a movie. I'm hoping quite a lot that it goes well. It'll be a great day out, and I'm looking forward to it immensely. So with fingers crossed and wood touched (yay for superstition), till next time.

S-CRY-ed.

The download has been going well yesterday and today, and I've now seen the first 18 episodes of 26, with 19 soon to be finished. The series is still going strong, and it's enjoyable seeing how the characters mature and change for the better. Kazuma is still holding his deep convictions for what he believes is right, and the lengths he's gone to in order to achieve more power is quite impressive. The other main male character, Ryuu, has definately changed for the better since now he has a wider understanding of what others have felt when they were subjected to HOLY's descriminatory actions. It's clear the finale will be large and impressive, so I'm definately looking forward to that. The anime Trinity Blood was also completely fansubbed today, all 24 episodes, and the ending fight was good, though the end of it wasn't shown unfortunately. There was a bit of abbiguity till the final credits started to roll up. Overall it was good, the whole imagery of the future interspersed with 'ye olde'fashions and settings was a visual treat. From the ending it's slightly open, so it'll be good if they do another series.

This now means that the series I'm waiting to be completed, apart from s-CRY-ed, are Ghost in the Shell 2nd Gig (1 episode), Shuffle! (9 episodes), Girls Bravo second season (2 episodes), Gun X Sword (17 episodes) and the ever ongoing Bleach and Naruto. In addition to those I'm also still waiting for the series Blood+, Mai Otome and Solty Rei to build up episodes before I start getting them. I'll probably start getting Blood+ once s-CRY-ed is finished, since the releases for it are fairly quick and it'll give me something to watch. There isn't much other news, except that I've arranged to go bowling with a friend on Sunday. Not too momentous at first glance, but she's a great friend so I reckon it'll be great for relaxing and just having a laugh. Till next time.

Virus Man.

In Marvel nemesis I completed the campaign mode with Captain America, and so unlocked another of the 'Imperfects' class. Hazmat. He's pretty cool, since he's a walking, talking, breathing virus. The background is that he was originally a scientist called Dr. Keith Kilham, one of the foremost minds in toxins and biological weaponry. As expected a rather large accident maimed his body and mind, leaving him partially crippled and unhinged, as well as being quite contaminating. He oozes caustic slime, and has liquid bones, and also has heightened reflexes and strength thanks to genetic manipulation by the 'leader' of the Imperfects, Van Roekel. Plus Hazmat is bright green, in a 'I'm not the Hulk' way, which is cool too. The Pangya game didn't go well however. Every time I started it up, it'd play for a bit then freeze, forcing me to restart the computer. So, out that went unfortunately. Looks like I won't be able to play against anyone from Doujin-World then.

In other more nifty news the Boxtorrents tracker was fixed, and so I started downloading s-CRY-ed again. Now I've watched the first 8 episodes, and once I finish writing this post I'll probably be able to watch episode 9 too. Not too bad really. Some of the Alter powers are quite funny. Episode 8 has the ultimate storyteller, who creates grand illusions with his scripts, fooling the person into believing things that aren't real, and actually controlling them without their knowledge. That'd be cool to use for crime, you could get them to withdraw cash and see their pin number... not that I'd do that of course. It's purely hypothetical.... Anyway, later on I'll probably start listening to some Prodigy, since I bought their recent album with all their most popular and best stuff, so that'll be good. Till next time.

Pangya.

Today was uneventful at college, and unfortunately the s-CRY-ed download only finished 2 episodes with another 2 at 99%. However the two finished ones are ep 4 and 7, and the unfinished are 5 and 6. This means that I'd usually run the torrent for a bit then watch all 4. However the tracker doesn't seem to be connecting at all, so bleh, don't think I'll be getting anymore s-CRY-ed tonight. To compensate, and because lots of people are playing it, I'm downloading Albatross18, an online game known in Japan as Pangya. It's basically golf with cute anime characters and insane shots like 'tomahawks' and 'cobras' but it looks quite cool, and if it doesn't crash my PC or lag like an evil monster then it'll pass the time nicely.

I've also been playing quite a bit of Marvel nemesis on the PSP. I've got 11 characters out of 18 unlocked so far, since to unlock another character you have to complete the game with one already available. Since you start with only 2 it takes a bit of time. Other than that I've not really been playing many games lately, since I mostly use my PSP to listen to music. At the moment it's a load of Advent Children music, since I like that a lot. It's tempting to convert the movie into MPEG$ so I can watch it on the PSP. Hmm. Well then, till next time.
